JOBE Watson is back to bolster the Essendon midfield for the clash with West Coast on Friday night, but the Bombers have lost key runners Bachar Houli and Jason Winderlich to injury.
Watson is one of four inclusions, along with Jason Laycock, Jay Neagle and Adam Ramansauskas.
Houli will miss with a groin injury and Winderlich with a back complaint, while Tayte Pears is out with a foot injury. Tom Bellchambers is omitted after making his debut last week.
Laycock will join David Hille in a two-pronged ruck combination that will have its job cut out against Dean Cox and Mark Seaby.
The Essendon selection committee resisted the temptation to bring back Mal Michael as a match-up for the Eagles' giant full-forward Quinten Lynch. Michael is an emergency along with Jarrod Atkinson and Ricky Dyson.
