ESSENDON has two players in the running for
the Toyota AFL Mark of the Year with Adam McPhee and Matthew Lloyd both being
nominated for efforts against Richmond
in their round-21 clash on Sunday.
McPhee showed trademark athleticism with a
big leap and strong grab over Richmond’s
Matthew Richardson in front of 90,000 fans at the MCG.
Lloyd also continued to exert his dominance
in the forward line with another strong contested mark also earning a
nomination.

and Lloyd’s marks at www.afl.com.au/markgoal.
Voting is open from the Monday after each round through to the following Sunday
night.
In 2007, the winners of the Toyota AFL Mark
and Goal of the Year awards will each receive:
- $5000 for their grassroots Club, also
presented by Toyota.
- The use of a Toyota Kluger CV for 12
months.
- A crystal replica of the official,
perpetual Toyota AFL Mark of the Year and Toyota AFL Goal of the Year trophies,
presented by the AFL and Toyota.
- The Alex Jesaulenko Medal (mark) and Phil
Manassa Medal (goal), presented by Toyota.
At the end of the 22-round Toyota AFL
Premiership season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide the
overall winner from the 22 weekly winners.
The awards will be the presented during
2007 Toyota AFL Grand Final week.
